Why Amore Atlas

Past the research wall

Finding a venue is easy. Comparing quotes and writing vendor emails is the hard part — that is the work Alba does with you.

  • Named picks — photo, price, rating, verdict; not a directory dump.
  • Drafts you send — from your inbox; Amore Atlas does not email vendors for you.
  • Comparable quotes — plain dollars with VAT treatment stated.
  • One couple fee — no vendor commissions; you pay vendors directly.
More detail on how Alba works (optional)

Picks, not directories

The big wedding sites list thousands of vendors and leave the work to you. Alba names her picks — photo, price, rating, the few facts that matter, and a clear #1 verdict — and she'll tell you when a beloved option doesn't fit your budget instead of letting you find out at contract stage.

Vendor emails, drafted for you

Alba drafts your emails to vendors in careful language that never reveals your budget. You send them from your own email address — Amore Atlas does not email vendors on your behalf — and when a reply is slow, she drafts the follow-up for you to send.

Quotes made comparable

Every quote is normalized into plain dollars with VAT treatment stated, and read against real benchmarks from quotes couples have actually received. The patterns that inflate European weddings get flagged in the open: tax added at the end, Italy's SIAE music licence (€250–€600), minimum spends that move, room blocks on the couple's credit, deposits far past the normal 40–50%.

One fee, and it's the whole business model

Directories are free because vendors pay to be found. Human planners in Italy charge €4,000–€18,000. Generic AI tools stop at general research. Amore Atlas is built around one flat fee for destination research, vendor-email drafts you send yourself, and plain-dollar quote comparison — no vendor commissions, and you always pay venues and vendors directly.

Research context (optional)

Roughly 360,000 US couples a year marry away from home, and international weddings average about $41,000 in spend. Italy alone hosted more than 15,100 foreign weddings in 2024 — up 11.4% in a year — at an average spend of €61,500, with Americans about a third of them. Europe is where the money and the difficulty both are: couples find venues through search and social, then hit the outreach wall in a language, a tax system, and a contract culture that isn't theirs.

Founder QA review is included in Alba Agent for the founding cohort — there is no separate review tier to buy. The portal is not live yet.

The founding offer. Founding is open for the first 50 couples at $199 ($299 standard after that). A $49 founding deposit — a real charge, taken securely by Stripe — holds your place and counts toward the $199; payment and refund terms are on the Terms page. The free plan preview and a free 20-minute founding discovery call are open too.

How paying works. Published in Terms §5: a $49 deposit counts toward the $199; the $150 balance is due only when you approve Alba's first vendor draft, before you send it; the $49 is fully refundable if no work has started. Checkout is a real charge through Stripe, and needs the Terms box ticked first.

Get founding updates by email: when founding opens and what changes. No payment, no card. The free 20-min founding call is still the fastest way in.

FAQ

Common questions

Can we talk to someone first?

Yes — that's the best first step. Book a free 20-min founding call: 20 minutes, no cost, nothing charged today. The quiz on this page is a demo and doesn't save anything.

Can we pay or put down a deposit now?

Yes — founding is open. A $49 founding deposit (a real charge through Stripe) holds your place among the first 50 founding couples and counts toward the $199. The full payment and refund terms are in Terms §5. Prefer to talk first? Book a free 20-minute founding discovery call.

Does Amore Atlas email vendors for us?

No. Alba drafts the emails — the inquiry, the follow-up, the questions to ask about a contract — and you send them from your own email address. Replies come straight to you; bring them back to Alba and she'll read them with you.

Do you take commissions from vendors?

No. No commissions, no markups, no pay-to-rank — at launch, the couple's fee is the whole business model. When Alba recommends a venue or a photographer, it's because it fits your plan, and every option she shows carries a way to check the business yourself: its official website first, then a verifiable public profile, then its published email.

Who pays the venue and the vendors?

You do — always, directly. Amore Atlas charges only for Alba's work and never holds your wedding money. Deposits you send a vendor are between you and that vendor, under a contract Alba has read with you first.

What if our budget is below a destination's floor?

Alba tells you, in the quiz and in chat, before any plan is built on a number that can't hold. Then she shows you what the same money genuinely buys: a smaller guest list, an elopement-style day, a weekday or shoulder-season date, or a destination whose floor fits — the Algarve's quinta route from €6,500 is the classic example. She will also ask whether your number is a strict cap or has a little flex, and she plans inside whichever answer you give.

Legal ceremony or symbolic — what's the difference?

A legal ceremony makes you married under that country's law; a symbolic ceremony is the full celebration — vows, rings, your people — with the legal paperwork done separately, usually at home. The rules differ sharply by country: Portugal is the easiest legal route in Europe (a €120 registry process, no residency requirement), Italy and Greece allow foreign couples with translated, apostilled paperwork prepared months ahead, and France is effectively symbolic-only for non-residents — its legal ceremony happens at the town hall and normally requires 30–40 days of residence in that commune, which is why 80–90% of foreign couples in France go symbolic. The quiz asks which route you want, and Alba plans around your answer instead of burying you in paperwork up front.

Can Alba plan somewhere that isn't listed?

Yes — anywhere in Europe, by request. Name the place in the quiz or in chat and Alba researches it from scratch: real venues, real quotes, the local rules. Two honest caveats travel with a by-request plan: budget figures start as research estimates until quotes land, and the first shortlist may take a little longer. Same fee, same protections. Outside Europe isn't offered yet.

What doesn't Alba do?

She plans; she isn't on the ground on your wedding day, and she doesn't replace a day-of coordinator if your venue needs one — she'll tell you when it does. She also won't invent what she doesn't have: where no real quotes exist yet — standalone videography in most destinations, for example — she says so plainly and works from the first real quote you receive. And she doesn't send anything to vendors herself: she drafts, and you send from your own email.
